Responsibilites:
Calverton Park Police Department's Detective Bureau is responsible for the investigation of all felony and serious misdemeanor crimes with the intent to bring the violator before a court of law and recover stolen property.
Primarily, Detective Bureau personnel focus on the following:
- Investigations of incidents which are violation(s) of the law.
- Personnel investigations to determine the suitability of applicants for positions of public trust.
- Investigation of conditions and circumstances that may be criminal in nature.
Specialized Training
The Detective Bureau strives to keep current through specialized training each year. This continuing education ranges from Interview and Interrogations, Death Investigations, Officer-involved shootings to evidence collection and preservation, Sexual Assault Investigations, Crimes involving children and fraud.
Major Case Squad
The Calverton Park Police Department has members on the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis.
